about

During a particularly stressful period of 2010, my roommate brought home a borrowed X-Box and two borrowed games.  One of those games was Grand Theft Auto 4. I abstained as long as I was able, but it wasn't long before I was pulling all-nighters, rising to the top of the Liberty City crime syndicate. When I found the cheat codes online, I entered a more creative phase of gaming - abandoning the suggested narrative of the game in favor of epic roof-top standoffs against the fuzz, demolishing S.W.A.T. copters with rocket launchers and spawning all kinds of large vehicles on the heads of the swarms below. I wrote this song about how disturbing this bloodlust was to my roommate.
